REDred Photo School & Studio in Seattle offers a variety of hands-on photography workshops, classes and studio labs for both novice and experienced photographers. Here, YOU will take charge of your learning experience… YOU will tell your instructor what you want to learn… YOU will get your hands on the gear and work with it in the studio… YOU will experiment with lighting positions and modifiers… YOU will direct and pose models… all with our constant guidance and detailed explanation.
Classes
Classes are small, informal, and conversational with a loose question/answer structure that allows every student to get the most out of the material. These events are densely packed with technical information, practical advice and open discussion.
Workshops
In our workshops, you will do so much more than watch and take notes… YOU will shoot tethered to a large display so you can immediately see how changes affect the final image… YOU will get your hands on the gear and actually use it right away.
Studio Labs
Our Studio Labs are basically freestyle practice sessions with lots of shooting, directing and experimenting. Labs are the perfect scenario for experienced photographers to try new things and for beginner students to apply what they’ve learned in our other classes. These highly energetic, live studio scenarios include models or portrait customers, a professional makeup artist, fashion designers, art directors, etc. Our Studio Labs are less densely packed with information than our other classes but include a lot of demonstration and hands-on practice.
